So after being late at our last booking because of my shitty car (Click here to see what happened at our last booking), Pav and I made an effort to be punctual and arrived early. Unfortunately, the client (going by the alias of Mr Ahmed), sent me a message that he was going to be late… Ffs.

Lets face it, things are never on time!
The Venue is class

Once the family had arrived we escorted the groom in for his grand entrance. The grooms lads were getting rowdy, throwing out the lads banter with “who are ya? who are ya?” We were giving it large at this point dropping tirkets perfectly in sync…. Half way through THE BRIDES FATHER marched up to us in front of the camera and told us to stop drumming. Turns out nobody informed him that someone had booked Dhol players (apparently brides father is not a huge fan). The drumming came to a stop. There was nothing but silence. We were left standing in front of hundreds wondering what the hell just happened with one hell of a confused expression on both our faces….Even the groom had no idea what was going on… Awkward!…
The walk-in just before we got told to stop
The Verdict:
A fantastic and very enthusiastic family that loves Dhol and definitely had their dancing shoes on. Too bad the brides father wasn’t a big fan of Dhol and dancing. Nevertheless, a fantastic and kind family which we would both be happy to play for again!
The Prince and Princess is a great venue located just off the A406 in north London. Looks great and has a clever name. It also comes with a car park for free parking. However, the car park is small but there is plenty of parking around the venue with no yellow lines. The outside does look industrialised which doesn’t look the best on camera but overall a pretty decent venue. Was a pleasure playing here….
