Friday night – Dhol Players: Where you park your car is very important!!!

Friday Night

I had a booking with this lovely family in Krystal Banqueting hall in Seven Kings this Friday evening. The plan was simple – Get to the venue, Get changed into my sherwani, Escort the family in, Change back and meet the lads for the footie…What could possibly go wrong with this plan, right?

I arrived fairly early,  found a good parking spot in the car park and went into the venue to get changed into my sherwani ( As the family requested traditional wear – it’s a service that we provide). Once I changed it was just a simple waiting game. I even had time to admire the beautiful ornaments the venue had to offer…

So the escort was done and by now it was 20:30 (or for you simple folk 8:30pm). Now the game had already started, so I rushed into the toilets, got changed, picked up my Dhol and ran to the car. (The boys were already saying it was 1-0 to Spain).

I come out side and I see this….

My car BLOCKED IN!… I honestly don’t know if god hates me or my car but either way I should probably get used to this…

So, I left Oliver (my car) there overnight and organised someone to pick me up and I had to be up early to go pick it up again the following morning!!!! ( I was so hoping for a lie in)… Thank you Mr Doni Brasco.
